The following letter is reproduced verbatim from the supporting professional dossier. Letter of Recommendation My husband Armand Santucci and I have known Michael since around 1998 online. Armand passed away in March 2014. Armand had a unique online Listserv group he owned and managed, on topics from politics to spirituality, to whatever topic a member decided to bring up. It was a closed group, and applicants were approved by Armand personally.
Armand knew Michael even better than I did, and personally helped groom him to further interact with others. He took a sound liking to Michael, as did I, although as Armand's wife, Michael and I did not get into private discussions, as the two of them did. To let you know about Armand's background, there are two outstanding areas where Armand excelled in his career base. He was born in 1941, one week after Pearl Harbor was bombed and WWII began.
1. Armand's career was as THE single individual hired by the New York Port Authority in the 1960s, as the PhD Engineering Technologist. In that position, he was responsible for coming up with the laboratory solution to fill the slurry wall for the original World Trade Center. As of today, even when the landscape artists for the new building, replacing the towers, tried for aesthetic reasons to cut out a section of the Slurry Wall that still stands today after the towers fell — they COULD NOT cut anything out! 2.
After the slurry wall was completed, Armand was recruited by the CIA to train and serve in the Vietnam War. He continued with absences as required to serve the New York Port Authority, while having intermittent absences for a few weeks at a time on and off as needed to serve in Laos. His role there was as First Lieutenant, in charge of a team of 5 other members, creating one of the first true special ops teams, even before the establishment of the Green Berets. His team and others like his wore Black Berets as CIA operatives.
Armand befriended Michael Wallick in a very special way. He communicated privately with Michael from time to time, giving him tips about various topics, because he found Michael to be highly intelligent and respected Armand and me as his wife in the List-Serv group, now closed after Armand's passing. Armand continued to have great faith in Michael, and I believe he shared with him many of his own personal attitudes about life, living, and working. Personally, I have found Michael to be highly intelligent and always well-meaning in all that he attempts to accomplish involving others. I truly believe he should be hired for the position he has indicated he wants to fill. I sincerely hope that he will have that position, as he is someone who would appreciate it so much.
