Part 5 in the Practical Hermetics Series
“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles. Gender manifests on all planes.”— The Kybalion
This final Hermetic principle—the Principle of Gender—is perhaps the most challenging and controversial to discuss in today’s polarized world. It touches not only on esoteric truth but on modern political, cultural, and scientific debates. It also closely relates to the previous principle, Polarity, as these two principles are deeply intertwined.
Gender in Hermetic Philosophy
Hermetically speaking, gender is not about biological sex or social identity—it’s about energy and balance. Masculine and feminine are archetypal forces present in all things. Every person contains both masculine and feminine energies, just as every atom contains a positive and negative charge. This principle manifests physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
The Principle of Gender is not anti-gay, anti-trans, or anti-anyone. Rather, it is about understanding and honoring the balance of dual energies within and around us. From my Hermetic viewpoint, human gender expression exists on a continuum—not in rigid, binary absolutes.
There have always been men and women who feel a strong identification with traits commonly attributed to the opposite gender. That is not new. What has changed is the scale, intensity, and societal response to these feelings.
What’s Causing the Shift?
Many today feel out of sync with the gender expectations associated with their biological sex. This is not necessarily mental illness, but a deep internal dissonance—and it’s real.
What concerns me most, however, is the environmental factor that isn’t often discussed:the role of synthetic chemicals and hormone-disrupting plastics in our food and water.
Research has shown that microplastics and chemical compounds found in common materials can interfere with hormone production during fetal development—particularly testosterone in males, leading to a phenomenon known as feminization. This affects not only physical development but how one feels in relation to traditional gender identity.

This is not a moral failure or personal defect. It is the biological consequence of environmental negligence—and it is backed by credible science.
A Personal Reflection on Self-Acceptance
Let me be clear: I’m not “woke.”I don’t support the idea of gender fluidity as an identity trend, nor do I support drastic medical interventions like reassignment surgeries or puberty blockers—especially for children.
But I do know what it’s like to feel like you don’t belong. After my brain injury, I struggled for years with confusion, frustration, and self-doubt. I tried medication. I self-medicated with alcohol. But none of it worked—not until I made peace with myself from the inside out.
Self-acceptance isn’t easy. But changing the external rarely changes the pain within.
I urge anyone struggling with gender identity to truly look inward before making irreversible decisions. Please take the time to explore the story of Walt Heyer, someone who detransitioned after living as a woman and now shares his experience to help others avoid the same pain.👉 Read Walt's Story
The Danger of Cosmetic Solutions
Many people who undergo hormone therapy or surgery come to regret it. Not all—but some. And for those who do, the trauma is immense. I've seen it. I’ve felt it. And in some tragic cases, it ends in suicide.
That pain is real. But masking symptoms with chemicals or surgery often leaves the core wound untouched.Helping people accept and love who they are is far more powerful than altering their appearance or silencing their discomfort with drugs.
The Bigger Picture: Environmental and Spiritual Imbalance
The real issue isn’t gender—it’s human arrogance. Our careless disregard for the environment has caused profound damage. Climate change may get the headlines, but beneath that is a more subtle devastation:
Hormonal imbalance
Developmental disruption
Immune dysfunction
Metabolic disorder
Magick has had to adapt. The rise of Chaos Magick is a reflection of this imbalance. In the past, Hermeticism emphasized the sovereignty and harmony of the individual. Chaos Magick, by contrast, emerges from collective disorientation, where power shifts from personal integrity to group ideology.
The Egregore of Chaos
The egregore of Chaos Magick thrives on fluid identity, groupthink, and reaction.
It fuels cancel culture
It rewards emotional volatility over balance
It replaces spiritual order with ideological warfare
This isn’t balance. This is the byproduct of disconnection—from nature, from spirit, and from responsibility.
Hermeticism teaches that the masculine and feminine must be in balance within each individual. When we abandon that principle, we sow confusion not just in ourselves, but in society.
A Final Word
The gender issue is not an issue for me. I respect all people. I use preferred pronouns. I lead with compassion.Because I understand this situation was forced upon humanity—not chosen.
We live in the aftermath of decisions made by corporations and governments that put profit and power above health and harmony. And now we, as individuals, must find a way to heal the soul of the world, starting with ourselves.
Balance is the key. Gender is the axis. Love is the solution.
My business is using symbols to help people feel better and be more successful using the brain’s ability to do what it naturally does, and is backed by Neuroscience. Yes, it is magical the things we can achieve if we just hack our brain’s natural capacities.
I invite anyone to debate with me or make an offer for me to speak to any group.
